About Us
Eddily is a Bay Area based education software start-up that is reshaping the college to career bridge through a unique skill building and campus recruiting platform that is directly powered by employers.
Eddily is seeking an experienced software engineer who will be a thought partner with the CEO and lead the successful development and execution of Eddily’s technology strategy.  In this capacity, you'll oversee the creation and improvement of our tech stack, optimize our architecture, and build/manage the tech team.  As we grow, you should be willing and able to roll up your sleeves and work alongside internal staff and external service providers.
  • Drive the technical design, development, deployment, support and maintenance of the Eddily platform
  • Create an efficient tech culture that celebrates quality, fosters creativity and is able to accelerate and scale production as necessary
  • Help build, document, manage, measure and validate the tech roadmap
  • Develop and implement a formal release management and deployment process
  • Provide thought leadership and input to product strategy and overall business strategy
  • Lead tech talent activities including hiring, motivating, advocating for, training and retaining staff
  • Liaison between tech and the rest of the business
  • Assist CEO with fundraising and sales
  • Champion product innovation, IP creation and IP protection
Basic Qualifications
  • College degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related concentration
  • 3+ years managing software engineering teams
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to program in multiple languages, up and down the stack
  • Demonstrated experience driving the design, development, delivery, support and maintenance of a large scale, high performing, technically complex, reliable and robust online and/or mobile application
  • Experience with a variety of software development processes (including Agile)
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully hiring, motivating, retaining and effectively deploying talented software developers and consultants
  • Detailed planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Positive, proactive and exercises great judgment
  • Ability to deliver in a fast paced start-up environment
  • Creative problem-solver
  • High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Previous participation in strategic and business planning, product strategy, operations, sales/marketing and overall business direction a plus
  • Experience in education or recruiting industries, big data, two-sided platforms & SAAS business models are a bonus
Compensation structure and role title (possible co-founder) are negotiable
